How to turn off autoplay USB and CD / DVD on Windows 7

Autoplay has always been a double-edged sword although you can streamline what we do in Windows because things are easier because it has everything automatically however in many cases this that leads us to our operating system from getting infected with viruses, malware, worms and what could harm it.

Turn off Autoplay USB 300x172

Why is infected with virus?

It happen to removable storage devices of which we always use like a flash drive (USB or flash memory) and SD memory and stop counting have a file called Autorun.inf. In that file is saved information that a user will run just double-click the device icon.

I mean imagine the USB device (flash drive, flash memory, etc…) For viruses and the file Autorun.inf  have instructions that the computer virus from copying what you could save? A good antivirus?? Maybe it does not always work. The truth is that by giving click the flash drive icon is the first thing that runs the boot file (Autorun.inf) and if the boot file are instructions for copying the virus. There is the strong possibility that Windows become infected with a virus that clear viruses work.

Well friends then this order of ideas. If you have autoplay enabled the first thing he will run (if there is one) will be the file Autorun.inf. The important thing then is to disable this option in Windows. So that way the system can be intact in some infection from viruses from USB sticks.

In Windows 7 it is very easy to disable that option. Sorry over the introduction but it was necessary to indicate what the importance of the procedure is will be done below.

The steps for applying the method are those listed below:

You access the “Control Panel” located in the Start Menu

Let the “AutoPlay”

Disable the “Use AutoPlay for all media and devices” by just a click in the appropriate box

Restart the computer and that’s it

And with that little procedure applying it will give greater security to our team really better security against USB devices. Many tell me that is no exaggeration. And to all those people tell them that I’m sure most users Computer Blog not have that option disabled but surely from now I will.

Hope will be very useful my dear friends
